Job Duties:
* Provide direct patient care to individuals admitted to the Medical-Surgical unit, assessing their medical conditions, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed.
* Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients based on their medical needs and treatment goals.
* Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including physical examinations, health histories, and psychosocial assessments, to identify patient needs and concerns.
* Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to medical treatments and interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety.
* Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to participate in their care.
* Coordinate with ancillary departments and healthcare team members to facilitate interdisciplinary care, including laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, and consultations with specialists.
Job Requirements:
* 1 years' recent experience required as a med-surg nurse in a hospital setting.
* Must have active state RN License
* Must have BLS AHA certificate
